We ate our first chives from the garden this week. (Still need to clear some of the old leaves off the beds.)
And the rhubarb is coming up. Looks a little bulbous at this stage, but soon the leaves will unfurl and it will be more recognizable. Last year I had no idea what it was until I could see the red stems. It does very well in our cool climate. (I still have no clue what many of the plants in the garden are. It’s a work in progress.)
Rhubarb and Chives were the two plants we dug up and took to Buffevent in February; we planted them in a cool spot and both are thriving, so far,
put a bucket over the Rhubarb! It will grow quickly in the dark!
